Mission Moment Monday – Two versions. One Story.

Your donors give because of the way it makes them feel. Period.
Share Money stories
A simple, powerful way to cause them to feel great is to update them on the impact of their previous gifts. Keeping them engaged.

This week, the very wise and very kind Marigene Kettler, executive director at Rockland Conservatory of Music, shares an absolutely beautiful mission moment story.

Before you listen, here’s a reminder of what a mission moment is.

Combine Mission Moments with Money stories

There are times when sharing a mission moment alone works well. Marigene is a graduate of my Ignite Your Fundraising Results program and a terrific storyteller.

There are also times when it’s best to include your money story along with your mission moment. Much of my retell is similar to Marigene’s story, but there is an update on what more there is to do and a visionary money story.

It’s up to you to decide when to include your money story. Just remember to do so regularly to cause your supporters to want to give more.
